Panasonic Corp will purchase U.S. programming firm Blue Yonder for 700 billion yen ($6.45 billion), the Nikkei reported Monday, saying it was the Japanese electronics association’s greatest acquisition since 2011.
While Panasonic purchased 20% stakes of Blue Yonder in 2020, it is presently in the last stage to procure the rest from investors including Blackstone Group Inc, the Nikkei said, referring to anonymous sources.
The move comes as the Japanese organization means to extend equipment that joins programming, sensors and different gadgets to assist organizations with improving operational efficiencies, Nikkei said.
Panasonic couldn’t be reached for comments.
