The French company TotalEnergies said on Tuesday that it has discovered gas and oil at the OML 102 offshore oilfield in Nigeria.
Nicolas Terraz, president of exploration & production at TotalEnergies, noted that this latest achievement in the region “further demonstrates the potential of nearby exploration to create value within our low cost, low emission strategy.”
OML 102 is run by TotalEnergies Nigeria, which has a 40% stake in the company, and NNPC Ltd, which owns the remaining 60%.
