Google MB.OS to turn Mercedes-Benz vehicles into supercomputers.

Mercedes-Benz said on Wednesday that it has teamed up with Google to create customized navigation for its new MB.OS operating system.

While a Mercedes-Benz is parked or in Level 3 autonomous driving mode, the system will provide Google traffic data, automatic rerouting, and YouTube views on the entertainment system.

The modular architecture, or MMA, platform, which will support its future small automobiles, is expected to debut in the middle of the decade, and from that point on, the MB.OS operating system will be implemented across the entire product range.

According to the announcement, Google and Mercedes-Benz also decided to investigate deeper collaboration using Google Cloud data and AI capabilities.
