Super Group, a British firm that possesses a betting company and an online casino, is trying to enter the fast growing U.S. market.
The company said Sunday it is getting together with Sports Entertainment Acquisition Corp., in an arrangement expected to close in the second half of this current year that would take the company public in U.S. stock exchanges.
Super Group isn’t right now licensed in the U.S., yet expects to cure that through an arrangement it has reached to get Digital Gaming Corporation. Whenever endorsed by regulators, that arrangement would give it access to upwards of 10 U.S. states, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Colorado, Indiana and Iowa.
The proposed consolidation with Delaware-based Sports Entertainment Acquisition is the most recent illustration of how charming the U.S. market has become to sports betting and gambling organizations from different countries. Eric Grubman, a former VP of the NFL, will become chairman of Super Group. John Collins, who held executive roles with the NFL and NHL, and was president of the Cleveland Brown, will serve on the company’s Board of Directors. The two men are part of Sports Entertainment Acquisition’s management team.
Situated in Guernsey, Britain, Super Group is the parent organization of Betway, online games betting brand, and Spin, an online casino company. The company is authorized in 23 nations in Europe, the Americas and Africa. It took in more than $42 billion in bets in the year leading to March 2021, and has over 2.5 million dynamic clients.
