After obtaining $2 billion in its most recent investment round, the Nvidia-backed artificial intelligence company Nscale was valued at $14.6 billion, the British company announced on Monday.
According to a statement from the company, Norway’s Aker and 8090 Industries led the Series C fundraising round, which also included Nvidia, Citadel, Dell, Jane Street, and others.
The AI business announced that former Yahoo President Susan Decker, together with former Meta executives Nick Clegg and Sheryl Sandberg, will join the board.
The investment round takes place ahead of the AI group’s plans for an IPO, for which Nscale Global has appointed Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan as underwriters.
To provide large-scale, GPU-powered AI compute, Nscale was founded in 2024 and owns and runs its own data centres, GPUs, and software stack.
The additional capital will enable it to increase the capacity of its data centre to satisfy the increasing demand for AI computing from clients, such as Microsoft.
