U.S bank JP Morgan pleads guilty to tax fraud; pays fine of $29.6m to the French government.

U.S. bank JP Morgan has consented to a 25 million euros ($29.6 million) fine in a settlement of a tax fraud case, the French financial prosecutor’s office said on Thursday.

The financial prosecutor’s office said in a proclamation a Paris court had ruled on Thursday in conformity with the fine imposed on JP Morgan.

The settlement follows the conclusion of an investigation commenced in 2012.
