The iOS 17 system update from Apple contains a remedy to stop the iPhone 15 range from getting uncomfortable.
In the patch notes that go along with the update, it is said that iOS 17.0.3 “addresses an issue that may cause the iPhone to run warmer than expected.”
The Cupertino, California-based corporation put the heat-related concerns about its recently announced iPhone 15 models’ getting too hot to handle on a software glitch as well as other problems related to well-known apps like Instagram and Uber.
After media stories documented overheating problems that are rife on online message boards, Apple issued a brief statement last week saying, “We have identified a few conditions which can cause iPhone to run warmer than expected.”
New iPhones frequently become uncomfortably heated during the first few days of use or when they are being restored using cloud backup data; Apple already alerts consumers to these problems. The heating difficulties with the iPhone 15 models have gone beyond those typical instances; however, smartphones can also grow hot when using programs like video games and augmented reality technology, which require a lot of processing power.
Apple highlighted in its statement that the issue is unrelated to its new CPU or the titanium housing for the premium iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Apple also denied rumors that the overheating issue with the new models was caused by a switch, from its exclusive lightning charging connector to the more popular USB-C port in order to meet a requirement set down by European authorities.
