Tens of thousands of gamers are unable to access online services, retailers, and multimedia apps due to a significant outage of Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN) on Saturday.
In response to growing global customer complaints, PlayStation said on social media, “We are aware some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN.”
Users were irritated by error warnings and unsuccessful login attempts, and reports of connectivity problems immediately went viral on social media.
A user from London named Ramos posted on X, formerly Twitter, that it is illegal to take down PSN on a Friday night.
The Downdetector outage tracking website reports that late Friday was when consumers began to notice PSN problems.
Sony addressed users’ complaints shortly after, acknowledging the issues but not going into depth about the potential reason for the outage.
Laptops 1000Issues with PlayStation Network services were confirmed on the Sony website.
According to the PlayStation support page, “some services are experiencing issues.”
