Grab Holdings, a Singaporean company, announced that it has strengthened its first- and last-mile delivery capabilities by acquiring Infermove, a Chinese company that develops AI-enabled robotics solutions.
“As we are constantly looking for new ways to bridge online and offline in better and smarter ways, we see the opportunity to further develop Infermove’s solutions out of Singapore to complement Grab’s first- and last-mile delivery capabilities,” Grab stated in a statement to Reuters on Tuesday.
The Nasdaq-listed business also stated that its teams will investigate how Infermove’s autonomous robots might improve partner and customer experiences. Financial information was not revealed.
