As part of what he described as Washington’s purported efforts to retain its global hegemony on Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin charged that the United States was attempting to foster prolonged conflicts in Ukraine.
In his speech to a security conference, Putin reiterated his long-standing assertion that he deployed soldiers into Ukraine in response to Washington turning the nation into an “anti-Russia” stronghold. Military officials from Africa, Asia, and Latin America were in attendance.
In order to maintain their power, Putin claimed, “They need wars.” “Because of this, they have made the Ukrainian people into ammunition. The situation in Ukraine demonstrates how the US is attempting to prolong the conflict, acting in a manner that is identical to that of its attempts to prolong conflicts in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.”
The address was the latest attempt by the Russian president to galvanize support in the face of harsh Western sanctions that hit the Russian economy and financial sector as well as its political system, senior officials, and businesses in retaliation for Moscow’s actions in Ukraine.
In addition, Putin compared the U.S. support for Ukraine to Nancy Pelosi’s recent trip to Taiwan, alleging that both actions were components of an alleged American effort to sow instability around the world.
“The American adventure in Taiwan was more than just a careless politician’s trip. It was a flagrant violation of another nation’s sovereignty and the United States’ own international commitments, and it was a component of a purposeful and conscious U.S. policy designed to destabilize the situation and bring instability to the area and the entire world.” Putin said.
No matter how hard the proponents of the present globalist model try to cling to it, it’s doomed; the Russian leader alleged that “Western globalist elites” were attempting to “transfer the burden for their own failings to Russia and China.”
He continued, “The time of the unipolar world order is coming to an end.
Speaking at the same conference, Sergei Shoigu, the Russian defense minister, accused Western partners of giving Ukraine more than just weaponry; they also allegedly sent instructors to train Ukrainian soldiers to use the weapons systems.
In addition to providing target coordinates for the launch of strikes, “Western intelligence services have also supervised the input of those data into weapons systems,” Shoigu stated.
He denied claims that Russia might employ chemical or nuclear weapons in the battle, calling them a “total fabrication.”
According to a military perspective, Shoigu added, Russia does not need to use nuclear weapons to accomplish its declared objectives. “Providing a deterrent against a nuclear assault is the fundamental task of the Russian nuclear forces.”
Shoigu continued, calling the allegations of a potential chemical assault by Russia “absurd,” noting that Moscow completely destroyed its chemical weapons stockpiles in accordance with a global treaty outlawing chemical weapons.
