Nividia CEO says humanoid robots will take over manufacturing activities within 5 years.

Humanoid robots will be widely used in industrial facilities in less than five years, according to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.

On Tuesday, Huang spoke as the keynote speaker at the almost $3 trillion company’s annual developer conference in San Jose, California, in front of a full hockey stadium.

Huang presented software tools that, according to him, would make it easier for humanoid robots to move around.

After the speech, Huang was asked by a group of journalists what indicators would show that AI has spread widely.

Huang stated, among other things, that it might be “not five years away, when, literally, humanoid robots are wandering around.” This problem will arise in a few years, not five.

According to him, the industrial sector would probably be the first to utilize humanoid robots, as it has certain jobs that robots can perform in a regulated setting.

“I think it needs to go to factories first. And that’s because the use case is much more focused and the domain is much more guard-railed,” Huang explained.

“Determining its value is quite simple. A human robot may be rented for about $100,000, which is, in my opinion, a really excellent deal.
