Police in Paris arrested two suspects after a Bulgari gems heist on Tuesday at the opulent Place Vendome. One suspect was shot in the leg by an officer prior to being arrested.
The Place Vendome is one of Paris’ — and Europe’s — generally expensive and lavish shopping establishments, a base for lofty foundations, for example, the Ritz Hotel, Cartier, Rolex, Chanel jewelry, as well as the Ministry of Justice. In its middle sits the celebrated Column of Vendôme.
Police disclosed to reporters they were informed of the robbery early afternoon. Officers pursued a vehicle with three suspects inside subsequent to seizing two bikes accepted to have been used in the robbery. The vehicle was subsequently found deserted.
It’s unclear what the robbers were able to take — regardless — from the designer jewelry shop.
Police confined one suspect in the parking area of the Les Halles retail outlet in central Paris. Police are looking for a third suspect and an investigation has commenced into the robbery.
