Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken intends to introduce tokenized versions of over 50 stocks and exchange-traded funds, including shares of Apple, Tesla, and Nvidia.
The move will enable non-U.S. consumers to trade tokens representing shares of these and other well-known corporations.
The practice of creating digital versions of publicly traded securities is known as tokenization.
Investors own tokens that signify ownership of the securities rather than the securities themselves.
The report also stated that the tokenized versions of the stocks would trade on Kraken every day of the week.
