Ibom Air, a Nigerian airline, is to place an order for about ten Airbus A220 aircraft.

Informed delegates at the Dubai Airshow on Sunday said Nigerian regional carrier Ibom Air is close to a deal with European planemaker Airbus to buy at least 10 A220 jets.

According to one industry insider, the contract might be extended to include up to 20 planes. Airbus did not respond to requests for comment. The airline could not be reached for comment right away.
