To provide its clients with more efficient autonomous operations, Honeywell and Google announced on Monday that they had signed an agreement to integrate artificial intelligence technology with their industrial data.
In an industry still struggling with a manpower shortage, the collaboration will combine Honeywell’s industrial data gathered through its Forge platform with Alphabet-owned Google’s Gemini, its most sophisticated AI engine, to automate activities and shorten project timelines.
Laptops 1000The first AI-enabled solutions will be delivered to Honeywell’s clients in 2025, and the AI-powered tools will assist in automating duties for engineers, technicians, and warehouse workers, among other purposes.
“The path to autonomy requires assets working harder, people working smarter, and processes working more efficiently,” said Honeywell’s chairman and CEO, Vimal Kapur.
According to Honeywell, the new AI-powered agent, based on Google’s Vertex AI platform, will minimize project design cycles through automated chores.
Users can also interpret different kinds of data, including text, photos, videos, and sensor readings.
To capitalize on the most recent surge in artificial intelligence, Honeywell stated that it hopes to lower maintenance expenses, boost operational efficiency, and “upskill employees” for its clients through collaboration.
