Goldman Sachs and Anthropic collaborate to use AI agents to automate banking processes.

Goldman Sachs is collaborating with technology company Anthropic to create AI-powered bots that will automate an increasing number of internal tasks.

Goldman Sachs affirmed the report’s veracity.

To create autonomous agents for duties like trade and transaction accounting, client due diligence, and onboarding, the Wall Street bank has been working with Anthropic engineers integrated within its teams for the past six months, Marco Argenti told CNBC.

Anthropic is pushing for commercial partnerships with products such as Claude Cowork, which helps white-collar workers with computer activities.

The technology is anticipated to drastically cut down on the amount of time needed to finish essential operational procedures, although Goldman is still in the early phases of creating agents based on Anthropic’s Claude model, Argenti told CNBC.

He did not provide a timeframe when he told CNBC that the bank intends to introduce the agents shortly.
