Global outages are impacting Microsoft services, including Outlook.

On Saturday, thousands of Microsoft 365 users complained about problems with Outlook and other applications.

The business stated it was looking into the problem, which affected several Microsoft 365 services, in a series of posts on the social media site X.

Microsoft claimed in the remarks, which were posted by a business page devoted to handling issues related to its Office software applications, “We’ve identified a potential cause of impact and have reverted the suspected code to alleviate impact.”

In the afternoon, the business reported that “the majority of impacted services are recovering following our change” based on its tracking.

Some users claimed they couldn’t access their Outlook email accounts on social media.

Outage tracking data from Downdetector revealed thousands of user reports.

Around 4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, outage reports for Microsoft 365 and Outlook specifically peaked before declining, and some customers reported that their access had been restored.

Thousands of customers could not access the communications platform Slack earlier this week due to an outage.
