Olaf Scholz, the German Chancellor, has maintained his belief that Russian President Vladimir Putin will lose the war in Ukraine.
Scholz claimed Thursday at the World Economic Forum’s annual conference in Davos, Switzerland, that “he has already failed to fulfill all of his strategic goals.”
“A Russian annexation of all of Ukraine appears further away today than it did at the start of the war,” the chancellor remarked. Ukraine is promoting its European future more than ever.”
Furthermore, two states have moved closer to NATO as a result of the “brutality of the Russian war,” according to Scholz.
“Two close friends and allies, Sweden and Finland, seeking to join the North Atlantic alliance. The chancellor exclaimed, “They are quite welcome!”
Putin had also miscalculated the strength and unity with which the Group of Seven major industrialized nations, NATO, and the European Union reacted to his attack, according to Scholz.
