Unidentified gunmen captured various school children from the town of Jangebe in northwest Nigeria right off the bat Friday, a state representative said, the second such seizing in less than seven days.
It was not quickly clear the number of kids had been seized, Sulaiman Tanau Anka, information commisiones for Zamfara state, told Reuters.
The seizing occurred about 12 PM, he said.
“Obscure shooters came shooting sporadically and removed the young ladies,” Anka said.
“Information accessible to me said they accompanied vehicles and moved the understudies, they additionally moved some by walking,” Anka said.
Security powers were chasing through the zone, he added.
