Software with generative artificial intelligence is taking small firms by storm.

A.I. technologies such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s Bard, and others are being used by small business owners to research business plans, proofread emails, and improve marketing content.

Furthermore, larger corporations are creating tools expressly to assist small businesses in incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) into their operations in more sophisticated ways.

With Microsoft’s Copilot, users can ask software to do things like condense emails or Teams meetings, identify important topics for documents, or create conversational email drafts in Outlook.

Recently, the service—which charges $30 per employee each month—was extended to all firms, including “solopreneurs” who operate without staff. This allows smaller enterprises to utilize Copilot for Microsoft 365.

In the meantime, MasterCard is testing a product called MasterCard Small Business A.I. that will assist small business owners in data analysis and provide additional resources to support business expansion.

To respond to questions from small business owners, it pulls data from MasterCard’s content library as well as content licensed from media organizations that prioritize inclusivity, such as TelevisaUnivision, a Spanish-language media outlet, and Blavity Media Group, a digital media company.

Later this year, MasterCard intends to pilot the technology in the United States, with intentions to expand to overseas markets.
