Following an extensive phase-2 investigation, the UK’s competition watchdog announced on Monday that it had approved the $69 billion acquisition of VMware by American tech company Broadcom.
The merger was given a preliminary go-light by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in July after it was determined that it would not reduce competition in the market for vital computer server equipment.
