In her most recent spat with the press, Meghan, the wife of Britain’s Prince Harry, criticized the British media on Saturday over claims that letters she exchanged with King Charles contributed to her choice not to attend his coronation.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Meghan wrote to the future king to voice her concerns about unconscious bias within the royal family. According to the letter, she had expressed concerns about her son’s skin tone in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, which prompted her to write the letter.
According to the story, the Duchess of Sussex didn’t think her concerns had been adequately addressed.
According to a spokesperson for Meghan, “The Duchess of Sussex is going about her life in the present, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago.”
Any insinuation to the contrary is untrue and frankly absurd. We admonish tabloid media and various royal reporters to put an end to the tiresome circus they are generating on their own.
Meghan will stay in California with the couple’s two young children and Prince Harry will attend the coronation without her. On the same day, their oldest child, Archie, turns four.
In March 2020, Harry and Meghan announced their resignation from their royal duties, citing their desire to start over in the United States free from media harassment.
