In light of the current global food crisis, Nato today urged Moscow to swiftly renew the UN-mediated agreement that allowed Ukraine to begin grain shipments via the Black Sea.
Oana Lungescu, a spokesman for NATO, stated that President Putin “must stop weaponizing food and terminate his illegal war on Ukraine.” “We encourage Russia to swiftly extend the agreement and reconsider its decision, allowing food to reach those who need it most.”
She pointed out that the agreement reached with Turkey’s assistance had been warmly welcomed by all NATO countries.
Lungescu continued, “These exports have contributed to a worldwide decline in food prices.”
