Russia attacks Lviv, Ukraine with cruise missiles.

Russia used high-precision cruise missiles to strike military sites in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv, the Russian defense ministry claimed on Sunday.

Russia fired long-range missiles at fuel storage used by Ukrainian forces near Lviv, as well as cruise missiles at a company in the city that repairs anti-aircraft systems, radar stations, and tank sights, according to the ministry.

“The Russian Federation’s armed forces continue offensive actions as part of the special military operation,” said Igor Konashenkov, a spokesman for the ministry.

The government broadcasts video of the Lviv missile attacks.

Officials in Lviv, which is only 60 kilometers (40 miles) from the NATO-member Poland’s border, said several were injured in the rocket attacks.

Russian long-range missiles were also employed to destroy an arsenal of S-300 missiles and BUK anti-aircraft missile systems near Kyiv, according to the ministry. According to the report, Russian soldiers also destroyed a number of drones.

According to Ukrainian Interior Ministry adviser Vadym Denysenko, Russia has begun destroying Ukrainian fuel and food storage depots, implying that the government would have to disperse both inventories in the near future.
