Honda consents to sell British Car plant to logistics giant Panattoni

Honda has consented to sell its lone English vehicle plant at Swindon in southern Britain to logistics giant Panattoni, an organization representative said on Saturday, as the new proprietor supposedly plans to make a huge speculation at the rambling site.

The Japanese automaker, which works about a 10th of the 1.5 million vehicle yield in England, settled on the choice two years after it declared its expectation in 2019 to stop production at its Swindon plant. The plant nearer is required to prompt 3,500 occupation misfortunes.

Honda, which has been battling in Europe, has said the conclusion of the plant was not identified with England’s takeoff from the European Union yet it expected to center exercises in locales where it hopes to sell most vehicles.

Panattoni said it was making a 700 million pounds ($965 million) interest in its logistics related turn of events, with the point of making new openings, when Honda finishes decommissioning of the plant that forms its Community hatchbacks, likely the following spring, the FT revealed earlier.
